Lyris PaÑA MTc

As a Master Therapeutic Counsellor, Lyris has a way of creating an environment of safety and openness for her clients.  She believes that relationships are an integral part of the human experience and without healthy relationships, we cannot thrive.  Simultaneously she believes that within the relationships we struggle with the most there is the greatest potential for growth. These perspectives are what drives her passion to help people understand themselves and who they are within each of their relationships.

Lyris highly values and understands the importance of healthy relationships in our lives.  As much as they can bring us heartwarming joy and love they can also contribute to pain and hurt.  By looking at each struggle as an opportunity for growth and connectedness, we can uncover the truth behind what we say and do and how that brings us connection or rejection.  Awareness is the first step to lasting change and growth!

A mother of 2 vivacious children, Lyris enjoys spending time with them outdoors or with family and friends.  She practices yoga to help keep herself grounded and centered.

Lyris is a Clearmind graduate and uses a combination of modalities such as systems theory, attachment theory, somatic experiencing and polyvagal theory with clients.  Her work is very experiential and believes we learn the most through practice and participation. Being a trauma informed therapist she respects and holds dear working with individuals who have experienced trauma or PTSD.  She also enjoys working with couples to identify their relationship dynamic and assists them in reaching a deeper level of intimacy.
